Our casita is located in the village of Salento and has been totally renovated in traditional architectural style but with modern conveniences. The accommodation comprises a lounge with main entrance to the street and french windows to the rear opening onto a terrace and garden. There is a seperate kitchen and a second smaller living room to the rear of the house again with french windows opening onto the terrace. The casita has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating 6 persons. There is also a utility room with washing machine. We have Wifi and satellite TV. Finally with new low-cost airlines and new planes operating between regional cities in Colombia we can now organise rapid door-to-door transportation between Cartagena and Salento for all our guests.

The village

The village of Salento is the oldest centre of inhabitation in the department of Quindio and is its most popular tourist attraction. Located some 20 kms from the regional capital of Armenia and at an altitude of 2,000 metres. Direct and inexpensive flights between Cartagena and Pereira make for a very easy transfer between holiday centres. Salento has many hostelries, restaurants and bars but its main attraction is the magnificent Cocora valley on the doorstep, fringed by the snow covered peaks of the Andes and offering unparalled trekking, walking and sporting activities.
