We offer a 2-5 night package that captures the essence of Cartagena. We will meet you on arrival at the airport and bring you to the hotel. Your accommodation is a second floor bedroom with private entrance and sit-out balcony. The balcony opens onto a leafy plaza and allows you to enjoy Cartagena's lively street scene. For perfect relaxation we also have a rooftop terrace which collects the breeze, has adequate shade and a small pool.
The following morning you will be collected by car for a guided tour of the environs- this includes the residential area of Manga which featured in the Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel "Love in the time of Cholera", the convent of La Popa and the fort of Castillo San Felipe, the largest structure ever built by the spanish conquistadores. The tour continues on foot around the city walls and within the old town and you will be amazed by the city`s beautiful colonial architecture and fine preservation of its antiquities. In the evening you will enjoy "a la carte" dining with wine in an attractive restaurant close to the hotel.
For day three we have arranged a marine tour to the Rosarios archipeligo. You will spend the day swimming and sunbathing on a private beach and a typical fish lunch is provided. If boat journeys do not appeal you may spend the day at a private beach club in the Zona Norte with welcome cocktails and lunch included. In the evening a horse and buggy will collect you at the hotel door for a romantic ride around the old town. The above itinery can of course be compressed or extended to suit your length of stay.
